Do not be put off by the name, it is hands down the best starter we’ve ever had. Very good service amongst the blacklock team. Here, we remain true to our spirit with the best quality grass-fed meat in the country, for the best value around but have added a wider menu and a separate cocktail bar perfect for pre or post dinner drinks. This place is absolutely amazing.
As usual, we’ve kept all the original features of the building but trawled antique markets up and down the land to find our mix of vintage lights, parquet floor and reclaimed mosaic tiles throughout. We booked there as we were doing something else nearby. The white chocolate cheesecake with berry compote was a delicious end to a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend a visit, and as soon as we are allowed back out, I shall be heading back for more meaty deliciousness! Plus £5 cocktails and fab wine. The food was also incredible we went for a starter with some of the smaller meat portions followed by porterhouse, the gravy sauce with this was lovely. Particular fan of the City branch, great atmosphere and great staff.
