Not even close to how good it was 5 years ago, I have been to see this circus most years since 2007 but since the takeover of merlin the performances have lost their edge and do not seem to come close to the wow factor it had. Given the high profile of Blackpool Tower and the ongoing enquiry into the Manchester Arena terrorist attack the lack of security is a concern. Whilst appreciating the age of the venue I thought the toilet queues could’ve been managed better. The professionalism is astounding especially for the price of the ticket which, considering we were a family of 4, and the price included drinks, popcorn, candy floss and ice cream, was/were exceptionally reasonably priced (unusual in this day and age )! I was also surprised that the hand dryer was still in operation given that many places have replaced them with paper towels particularly in similar confined spaces. We have been awarded the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry charter mark. We then backed out and I wouldn’t go in again until they emptied, much to the impatience of people behind us. They are keeping it well below capacity in line with the COVID guidelines, and in that respect everything felt safe.

I’d been brought up going to see Charlie Cairoli and his clowns so maybe I was expecting a bit too much from Mooky who just seemed to fill in bits whilst equipment was being assembled. This verifies that The Blackpool Tower meets the Government and public health guidance on COVID-19 and that we have all the required health and safety processes in place to ensure our visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit so it is great to see such lovely feedback!

For those who don't wish to spend the whole evening we can stop at the more exclusive Lytham St Annes for you to buy coffee on route and then simply enjoy the full drive along the promenade once the famous "Blackpool Lights" are illuminated. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the show and although it was 2 hours long, we could have sat through another 2 hours quite happily.
