OK this was just a quick test on my hand in a store but wow I really do like this fragrance.Admittedly it does remind me of several things I've smelled before, especially seeing as strong iris notes seem really 'a la mode' these days in men's fragrances. A bit thick, too syrupy-sweet on the opening: artificial and synthetic, not for everyone. The cheap Mixing between Tonka bean and cheap iris gives a similar to the smell of rubber treated !! I prefer this one to the original. BUT... Lòreal has all the fault. Top notes are iris and Violet; middle notes are Vanilla and Sage; base notes are Tonka Bean and Patchouli. Doesn't smell a whole lot of the original La Nuit but it is a sexy iris and powdery scent. Apparently, it's a fraud since it smells nothing like the original La Nuit de L'homme. it is best of l homme line near the original la nuit it is woody but less spicy and more fruity unique linear with much better performance with 7 hours longevity 10 of 10 best for spring strangly I got from it old grapes note like in wine. My bottles of La Nuit de L'Homme Intense and The One for Men Parfum arrived in the mail from Italy yesterday, and I'm just formulating my first impressions. With all the money made by the original La Nuit de L'Homme, and all the money this could potentially make, one would think YSL has the funds to make this one good right? Personally, I like that artificial raspberry-esque smell but I can see why this can be polarizing as it is not very much like the original, if similar at all. Tried 3 sprays on the same part of my arm and the projection and scent were really weak. Go to test it on your skin and you will know. When will YSL stop with these flankers it's so redundant. I'm not a fan of YSL frags, but I like this one: Longevity on my skin, which usually rather eats parfumes, is 15 hours ! This new L'Intense will get plenty of hate for all of these reasons but that doesn't take away from the fact that this fragrance does smell amazing! This is exactly opposite of what the advertising shows - strong, intense, sweet night out perfume. It's not made to last longer than the coveted Orignal that everyone holds up to this ridiculous standard. If you love the original you will love this one as well. A little floral and a lotta of tonka to give it a soft powdery vibe that is short lived. The Iris stays right through the life of the fragrance and blends well with the vanilla and Tonka on the dry down. I get a solid 7 - 9 hours with this. First of all, I was shocked how much it's not similar to La Nuit de L'homme! Longevity only 2 to 3 hours. YSL is overdoing it a bit with the l'Homme flankers, but I still can't wait to smell this one out! This stuff is so clean it might not project or last but it's really really nice. I see Intense as a more modern perfume and with the times, but for me modern is not always better. La Nuit L'Intense is 85% of La Nuit with 15% of a dark powdery feel of Dior Homme Intense. I mean how can it not be.
