After moving to Mere Green 18 months ago I have visited all the local pubs the area and I'd have to say that since the refurb the Fox and Dogs has become mine and my friends new regular. I also thank you for your patience in returning and being aware that staff were relatively new to systems and hopefully we are now in the full swing of things aiming to deliver at all time, the very best service. According to local records, in 1651 King Charles II stayed here on his way from Trent to Heale house whilst fleeing after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester. Apologies if this has been off putting to you but some guests do find comfort in taking position in the same place on every visit I look forward to seeing you soon and as always, make yourself known. We certainly take the view that whilst we no longer have the playhouse attached to the side of the pub, we are very welcoming to families who wish to dine with us. A detached but neat looking cream rendered bar/pub, with beige paintwork on the main Mere green island, with a beer patio at the back

Refurb is a big improvement but as a previous person said "the strange area in front of the bar is still there and the regulars amass there making it a bit of a no-go for anyone else.
